Good for authentic learning

Solid instructional text, however it covers immersion style teaching through content rather than a focus on memorising vocabulary. I am currently studying in preparation for further study abroad in Japan and have found this to be a helpful resource. I would also recommend most Japanese texts by the Japan Times as they are often reliable, flexible and practical.

I had to buy this book for a college class, it is a great book for advanced japanese speakers and students but because of the nature of the book it was rather expensive
