About the Author
Fred Fulkerson graduated from the Faculty of Education, University of Western Ontario and from Conestoga College, General Machining program.� He is a red seal certified General Machinist and is a certified Mastercam and SolidWorks instructor.� He has been teaching for 15 years, the last nine at Conestoga College. He is currently a professor in the Mechanical Engineering department.

I find this book to be a fun and effective approach to learning SolidWorks. The step by step presentation, filled with explanations, button images, and screen shots, lets you absorb the material at your own pace, and the instructional videos (accessed by scanning in QR codes) illustrate key sequences. The primary projects walk you through designing Minion-like figures made out of LEGOs. Other projects emphasizing materials issues, manufacturing tolerances, and fit, form, and function are covered, too. The author's enjoyment of the program and subtle sense of humor are icing on the cake.
